Presentations DGTA Symposium 2012

On 30 November 2012 the DGTA Symposium, on the occasion of the farewell of Jos van Buijtenen, as TU Delft’s gas turbine professor, took place. Peter Bongaerts,  Director at FME-CWM, inspired the audience with  the subject “The earning capacity of the technological industry”, as did Ben Dankbaar, Professor at Radbout University, Nijmegen School of Management , addressing “Re industrialization and sustainability”.  Jos van Buijtenen treated his audience to the past, present and future of gas turbine technology. A bright future is still ahead.

Biofuels

This summer, a workshop on the subject biofuel was organized by TU/e in Eindhoven. Several DGTA-members brainstormed about this subject leading to a summary and a proposal for a project. We will use coming weeks to research if there are more members interested to join this project. If you are, please see the proposal!

More insight in changing emission legislation in the Netherlands

We defintely want to share this presentation by the ministry of Enviroment & Infrastructure with you. It was presented at the LM usergroup meeting 26 june 2012, hosted by VBR. It gives an overview of the changing emission landscape in the Netherlands in the next 5 to 8 years. Very helpfull to understand what emission levels you have to comply with planning new manaintenance actions or retrofits.

Projects: Gas Composition

In reaction of an internetconsultation by Projectteam Nieuw Aardgas the DGTA send this letter to adress our concern on this topic.

March 2012 a team of members added with some with some knowledge partners of the DGTA decided to write a short theoretical paper on the effects of the new gas composition on combustion dynamics. We took the last availible compostion rules as a startpoint.  We did this to provide the projectteam new gas with a clear perspectiev of the problem. Jim Kok (Universiteit Twente) took the initiative to write down, and youc an dowload it here.
