The company General Electric
The company General Electric is better known globally as GE. GE was founded in 1878, the century of inventions, by Thomas Edison as The Edison Electric Company. In 1892 the company changed into General Electric Company after a joint venture of Edison General Electric Company and Thomas-Houston Electric Company.
In line with the inventors philosophy of the founder and by the creative applications of new technologies GE has become one of the world’s largest and most diverse companies. GE has played an important role in the first developments with respect to power stations, lighting, electrical locomotives, broadcasting equipment, refrigerators, x-ray equipment, jet engines, synthetic diamonds and technical synthetic material. With more than 50.000 assigned patents, GE creates on average two new patents per day.

GE Energy Europe B.V.
GE Energy Europe B.V. was established on 11 September 1999. Our company is engaged in maintaining LM-gas turbines. We repair, overhaul and test LM1600 and LM2500 engines in our shop. We also repair and overhaul the LM6000 gas turbine and power turbine 1600/2500. We have a test cell, where the above-mentioned turbines (up to now only the LM1600, LM2500 and LM2500+ also in DLE version) can be tested on natural gas as well as liquid fuel, as well as DLE applications.
As of 1 January 2009 GE Energy Europe consists of more than 150 permanent employees.
