You will learn a unique and proven method to develop modular system models and how to implement them in state-of-the-art specialized software. You will also become competent in running these computer models to solve complex problems like those pertaining to the design, operation, R&D, life-cycle management, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and control of power and propulsion systems.
The minor is part of the 4th (final) year of higher vocational training of the Aviation Engineering degree in which students receive lectures about gas turbines, attend guest lectures and visit companies, and carry out projects at a company that is a member of SGO. The aim of the minor is to supply industry with highly skilled higher vocational students concentrating on gas turbine technology and its applications. In addition, the minor offers companies the possibility of training its own employees and expanding their knowledge.
SUPERALLOYS is a 4-day course which provides a basic level of knowledge on the metallurgy, manufacturing, mechanical, and surface behavior of these critical gas turbine hot-section alloys and components. It includes strong coverage on coating protection and selection, and on those technologies so vital to repair and refurbishment..
Maatwerk taaltraining Engels aangepast aan niveau en lesbehoefte van de cursist(en) op basis van uitgebreide intaketest en behoefteanalyse. Het lespakket wordt op maat gemaakt voor de functie en branche van de cursist(en) en kan bestaan uit o.a. conversatie Engels, opbouw van grammaticakennis, lezen van technische documenten, schrijven van rapporten, etc.
Tijdens deze cursus worden de volgende onderwerpen behandeld: algemene gasturbine theorie, gasturbine cycle varianten, thermodynamische modellering, gasturbine prestaties, veroudering van gasturbines, practicum gasturbine prestaties.
